Louis Armstrong was born on August 4, 1801. His father was a factory worker and after his birth his father left his family. When he was a child he was in poverty. He sang in the streets for pennies. In 1912, on New Years, he shot a pistol in the are in celebration. For that he was sent to a waif's home for boys. At the waif's home, that is where he was taught to play the cornet.

I think Louis Armstrong is the most influential jazz player. I think he is the most influential person because his ability with the trumpet, and his band leadership abilities. The way he plays the trumpet. It puts awe in me that he wrote his music. Louis Armstrong is a very talented person.
