A female orangutan gives birth between 230 and 260 days after mating.
A female orangutan may give birth to two young twin orangutans, which is extremely rare.
Most orangutans are four to five feet long, some can reach a length of about six feet, adult male orangutans weigh between 100 and 200 pounds and female adult orangutans weigh between 65 to 100 pounds.
