Emu (Dromaius novaehollandiae) are birds that eat fruits, vegetables, berries, meat and other kinds of vegetation. Emu chicks are full grown in 5-6 months. Emu are normally found in Australia, they like grassy plains and open forests. Emus are very calm and are very friendly depending on how they are raised. They can grow to be about 5-6 feet tall, not quite as big as an ostrich.
