Volume of a Cylinder
How to Find the Volume of a Cylinder
Before you want to find the volume of a cylinder you will want to know what volume actually is.
Volume-the amount of space, measured in cubic units, that an object or substance occupies.
Now that you know what volume is you can find the volume of a cylinder. The formula for finding the volume of a cylinder is V=3.14(r)²h. 3.14 stands for pi.
Now it's time for some examples.
Find the volume of the cylinder shown. h=10 r=5
Now find the volume of a cylinder that's height is 8 and the radius is 3.
Now try this example on your own.
The radius is 4 and the height is 10
