Organisation charts

  • Tail organisation- An organisation with many different level's in a hierarchy.
  • Flat organisation- An organisation with relatively few layers between the top and bottom.
  • Subordinate- A person working at a junior level to someone else
  • Organisation chart- A diagram illustrating the roles and relations within an organisation.
  • Span of control- The number of people that a person manages or supervises directly.
  • Organisation Level- Posts involving similar levels of power and authority.
  • Hierarchy- A highly structured pattern of offices and posts involving a number of layers of command.
  • Organisation- A system having an established structure in which people work and deal with one another in a co-ordinated and co-operative way to meet certain objectives.
