Poetry is easy
You say,
It's simple

Well you're wrong
Like a gym teacher in art class

One rotten word
Can ruin your efforts
Fallen between the cracks

When you're told to face forward
And try to forget the past
How can I write a poem about something that doesn't last?
Make it immortal in a poem

With vision
Give it a face
With comedy and humor
Come arms and legs

And to finish
Give it a torso
From clear defined memories
