You go about observational drawing by looking around and drawing something you observe. Then you add detail and shading to this drawing.

The way to approach an observational drawing is to look at what you are drawing and draw it in as good detail as you can. I like to draw animals. I pull up a picture on my I-pod and get it in as good detail as I can.

Someone can approach drawing however they feel like it. They can think about things that are around them, or what they are thinking. Whatever you decide on drawing, thats up to you, but then draw a very precise picture. I enjoy drawing anything that comes to my mind because sometimes I don't know what to make. I like being very creative so anything goes. I do like to draw animals and things I have seen.

How I draw is by looking at the pic and seeing the easy part and the hard part and doing it at the sametime.

Observational drawing is just drawing something based off what you see.

Observational drawing should be as realistic as possible and based off of things you see in nature.

One should approach observational drawing with a lot of details in mind. I like drawing animals and things and nature.
