A day in the life of Thailand student
Laddawadee is 12 years and lives with her parents,sister,cousin and grandmother
Laddawadee's dad wakes her and her sister up Nam.Then Laddawadee gets in the shower and puts on her uniform.
Laddawadee's dad cooks breakfast.Sometimes she has khao tom,which is porridge made of rice and milk.
Before she leaves,she pray at shrine in her living room.Then she climbs into her dads pickup truck.Her school is less than a half mile away,but it can take 40 minutes to get there because of traffic jams.
Her first class is math or Thai language.She likes math because she is good at it.
Next,She has either social studies or English.
Recess.She talk with her friends and eat ice cream.
In home economics,She is learning how to sew.
Lunch.She eats kluay tiaow, which is noodles and rice, or gai tawt, which is fried chicken.
She has three more hours of school.On Fridays,she has physical education.
She walks next door to her sister's school.Every other Wednesday,She has dance class.She is learning traditional Thai dances.
Her dad picks her sister and her up.At her home,She will take another shower.Then she helps her grandmother take care of her baby cousin Je T'aime.
Sometimes on her way home from work,her mom buys dinner from a street vendor.If she cooks Laddawadee prepares the rice.Her favorite dish is kraprao gai,chicken with basil leaves.
She watches television or plays games on the computer.
Before going to sleep,she prays that her family and friends will be heathy and happy.
