The Coastal Plains takes up three-fifths of the state of Georgia. It is the largest region that consists of a Inner Coastal Plain and an Outer Coastal Plain. The Inner Coastal Plain has a mild climate and is the major agriculture region of the state. The Outer Coastal Plain doesn't have drained soil to provide fertile farmlands, but is in the center of naval stores and pulp production in the state.
