Indian Wrestlers Go for Gold Two Weekends Straight
The Indian Wrestling team has been on a roll the past two weekends. After winning their own home tournament, the team was feeling good. No one expected the Indians to be in the Sectional team race, as they expected it to be a "two horse race" against 18th ranked Webster City and power house Humboldt. No one expected the Indians to even be in the running. The team finished in first place with 8 people over all moving on to districts. Because the team placed first they travel to Humboldt tomorrow for Regional duals. The team must first wrestle Ballard, and if they win they take on Clear Lake. If the Indians win bot of these duals they travel to State Duals in Des Moines on Wednesday Feb. 18th. 4 Indian wrestlers brought home gold on Saturday; Shea Ruffridge (106), Mitch Brinkman (120), Danny Sommerlot (170), and Tyler Case (195). 5 wrestlers brought home 2nd place and they are Joe Minkler (113), Clayton Reis (126), Connor Schoening (138), and Tim Elliot (HWT).
