From Atlanta, Georgia, to Washington, Olympia ,it is 2,739 miles by car and about 42 and a half hours. Make sure you bring some gas money! If you can't drive all the way through, then try to book a hotel to break your journey!

Climate

The average temperature in April in Olympia is about 40-60 degrees. You would probably be most comfortable in jeans and a light jacket.

Historical Landmark

The White House

The White House is actually the home of the president. This is where he lives with his family! The 2014 current president is President Obama. Our first president George Washington selected this location in 1792. The fascinating design for the White House was submitted by Irish-born architect James Hoban.

Ape Caves

In the amazingly cool Ape Caves you can wander in the mysterious caves until you POP out on the other side. Did you know that these caves didn't get their name from apes! It was named by people who had an outdoor club. You will love exploring these caves! However, do remember to bring a strong flashlight with you!

Palouse Falls State Park

This park is home to Palouse Falls ,one of this state's most beautiful waterfalls. The height of the waterfall is 198 (that's high!)  feet and the highest flows are in spring and early summer. There is also an ADA(Americans with Disabilities ) accessible trail that overlooks the falls as well as picnic tables.

Ben's Chili Bowl serves Bill Cosby's which is meat on a warm bun with cheese and homemade chili. Ben's Chili Bowl serves chili bowls,dogs,smokes,and burgers! As you can see from the picture, it is known as "A Washington Landmark!"
