Leif Ericsons route

Leif Erickson sailed in 999. Leif Erickson sailed the first time when he was 20 years old.There were 20 other men sailing with Leif Erickson . Leif Erickson was sailing to Greenland but ended up in Canada. On the way to Greenland he discovered three things: Vine land  some new animals which Native Americans did not know about, and Eastern Canada. He was the first European explorer in North America.


About Leif Ericksson

Leif Erickson was the son of Erik the Red, founder of the first European settlement on what is now called Greenland. Erickson sailed to Norway, where King Olaf I converted him to Christianity. Erickson sailed off course on his way back to Greenland and landed on the North American continent, where he explored a region he called Vine land  He found a place to with so many vines and called it Vine land  He explored Vine land. after spending the winter in the Vine land he sailed back to Greenland and never returned to the North America shores.
