How does Radiography use Radiation?

This image shows x-rays of the human skull and brain.

Radiography is a type of job that deals medically with using radiation techniques to see the internal parts of the body. Some of the techniques that they use were X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, nuclear medicine and position emission tomography (PET). Radiologists use these radiation techniques to diagnose and treat diseases in their patients by looking into the internal parts of the body.

Examples:

-Dental Examination (Teeth or Mouth Structure)

-Orthopedic Evaluations (Dealing with deformities and injuries to the skeleton, tendons, or ligaments)

-Surgical Matters prior to Operations (Used to review and confirm placement of internal parts of body)
