Law Breaking Customer Service

I genuinely haven't had any bad experiences with customer service, other than staff being rude and not wanting to be in work, as they are not happy and working to their best ability.
My mums experiences:
Once, we went into a cookery store, with some expensive machines and equipment, we were enquiring about a soup machine and the Lady serving us made my mum feel like she wasn't 'worthy' of the expensive equipment and as if we couldn't afford it. We ended up leaving the store and buying a similar product else where.
This staff members actions cost the store a profit and a change in stock, as well as losing a future customer.
