Testable Question: "How does the type of circuit affect the strand of Christmas lights with a burned out bulb?"

IV: Circuit type

DV: Strand of Christmas Light

Hypothesis 1: If the Christmas lights are arranged in a parallel circuit, then when one bulb bursts (is removed) the other bulbs will light up.

Three out of the three lights were lit up.

Even when one light bulb was missing

Hypothesis 2: If the Christmas lights are arranged in a sericircuit, then when one bulb bursts (is removed) the other bulbs will light up.

All three bulbs still lit up but they weren't as bright.

When one bulb was removed, the other two bulbs didn't light up.

A parallel circuit is the best to use for Christmas lights because even if one burns out, the others are still lit.
