The Bald Eagle

The bald  eagle became a symbol for freedom on June 2oth 1787. It symbolizes freedom. You can see them in trees. They mostly fly around mountains.  The bald eagle is the national bird.  The are many types of eagles. Eagles are carnivores. Eagles can lay up to 1-5 eggs at a time. The average eagle's wing span is 4 feet. Their feathers keep them warm. Baby eagles are born with no feathers so the mother eagle keeps them warm and will kill to keep her baby eagles safe.
