6 Reasons to Attend OETC in 2015
OETC is THE conference to be at! Educators from all over the country will come together for a 2.5 day conference full of innovation and learning. Passionate exhibitors and world renown speakers will bring life to the conference and the EdTech world that surrounds it.
Here are six reasons to attend the Ohio Educational Technology Conference:
1. Produced by Ohio for Ohio
We strive to provide the most up-to-date session topics that address the needs and issues faced by Ohio schools, universities, and education providers.
2. New session peer review process
All of our session proposals for 2015 have gone through a thorough peer review process to ensure that only the best sessions are presented at the conference. We completely redesigned our session review process to include more reviewers from conference attendees just like you!
3. Share what you learn with staff
Give the conference even more value by offering to bring back what you’ve learned to share with your staff. Sessions notes and presentation materials will be posted online so you can easily provide conference information to your colleagues.
4. You can’t beat the cost
OETC15 is slightly more than $30 per contact hour for a two-day registration at the standard rate, a great price when compared with other educational courses and offerings. We understand budgets are tight, so we have not raised our base registration rate since 2007! You can cut your registration costs even more by registering early, being a conference volunteer, or presenting at the conference. Conference presenters and volunteers receive a complimentary registration, and co-presenters receive a special reduced rate.
5. Network with your peers
Expand your peer network and meet people to whom you can turn for sustainable program ideas and strategic insights that will serve you for years to come.
6. Don’t forget the vendors!
While education and professional development are the main focal points of OETC15, make sure to point out the key vendors that will be attending OETC15 as well. Talking with vendors can be a great way to gain extra knowledge, learn about new products, and reconnect with existing vendors or service providers.
