About Rex Elsass
Rex Elsass has led a distinctive life as a media strategist for political campaigns. Early in his career, he entered politics as an elected member of the city council in Mansfield, Ohio, and as an officeholder in the Reagan administration. He subsequently became executive director of the Ohio GOP. In 1994, he founded a political advertising firm, the Strategy Group for Media. Under his leadership, the firm has offered diverse media services for 50 congressmen, three senators, and numerous state officials. Rex Elsass recently became the senior media advisor for the presidential campaign of Congresswoman Michele Bachmann. To date, the Strategy Group for Media has won 12 Telly Awards and 40 Pollie Awards.
Educated at Ashland College, Rex Elsass earned his bachelor of science in radio and TV production. In his personal life, he actively supports Hope for Hilltribes, an organization that offers financial and medical support to minorities in Thailand. He also volunteers with and donates to Central Ohio Youth for Christ, an organization that proselytizes to teenagers in central Ohio.
