Grade 3s go to ...

There is a new branch on our family tree!

The grade 3s went for a trip to a traditinal weaves and crafts shop to get a better understanding of how a business is run. They saw how local women are trained under the watchful eye of Suraiya, a very experienced and skilled weaver. These women have beome extremely skillful labourers. The art of weaving is very laborious and the students were in awe to see the final results. People come from all over the world to buy beautiful, exotic materials from this qualint little place. All the money earned is used to run a school. Most of the students belong to the labourers! Interestingly, they do not advertise their products.
