Sir Isaac Newton
Born in Woolsthrope, England.
Lived in Lincolnshire, England.
Died at the age of 84.
He was the son of a prosperous farmer. He and his father shared the same name, although his father died shortly before he was born. His mother Hannah Ayscough Newton ran off to get remarried, leaving Isaac with his grandmother. Later on in Isaac's life his mother returned with 3 children.
He attended Trinity College, Cambridge.
He invented the first practical reflecting telescope. He is credited with the generalized binomial theorem, theory of finite differences, Newton's identities, Newton's method, and much more.
Newton is widely recognized as one of the most influential scientists of all time; many of theories are still used today, such as: the laws of motion and the law of universal gravitation. His work can be found in math and science books.
