Dr. Richard D’Amico has supplemented his private practice with numerous other responsibilities over the years. Previously, he functioned as Chief of Plastic Surgery with Englewood Hospital and Medical Center and President of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (A.S.P.S.). Currently, he sits on the Board of Directors-Executive Committee and the Innovative Technology Committee with A.S.P.S., as well as the Board of Directors for the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities. Dr. Richard D’Amico has also appeared as an expert on multiple television shows and news networks, including Good Morning America, the Today Show, and NBC New York.
Dr. Richard D’Amico grew up in New York City, where he attended Regis High School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin, then returned to the city to study at the New York University School of Medicine. After finishing medical school, he completed an internship in internal medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center, a surgical residency at the University of Oklahoma Tulsa Medical Center, and a surgical residency at the University of Rochester. Finally, Dr. Richard D’Amico finished his training through a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.
