Richard Wainford

Molecular pharmacologist and toxicologist Dr. Richard Wainford has published extensively on his areas of expertise. Most recently, he coauthored articles in the Journal of Hypertension, and he has also been published in medical journals such as Peptides, Toxicology, Toxicology in Vitro, and Endocrinology, as well as the British Journal of Pharmacology and the American Journal of Physiology, among many others. Dr. Richard Wainford currently receives funding for his research from the National Institutes of Health, the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, and the American Physiological Society, which provided $20,000 in funding as part of its Data Sciences International Dean Franklin Award.

A product of the University of Wales, the University of Aberdeen, and the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, Dr. Richard Wainford currently teaches at Boston University’s School of Medicine, where he is an assistant professor on tenure track. In addition, he is regularly invited to speak around the country and internationally, most recently delivering a lecture at the University of Chicago’s Institute for Integrative Physiology.
