When was the last time you had a nice big fat juicy hotdog with ketchup, cheese, mustard, relish, onions, and chili sauce. Well the Piedmont has many fine restaurants and fast food joints for you to enjoy. These restaurants and fast food joints provide many job opportunities for folks that would want to come live in the Piedmont. There are many more job opportunities in the Piedmont.
Economic Activity in the Piedmont Region
If you are interested in coming to the Piedmont, you might be curious about the car and plane companies. Car companies include Porsche, Ford, and Kia. Plane companies include Lockheed Martin, Delta, and Gulf Stream Aviation. Entrepreneurship in the Piedmont region is high. There are many opportunities to start your own business. Peaches and poultry would be a great start for a business also.
Climate, Weather, Geography & Physical Features
The climate of the Piedmont region is temperate. Half the year it is cool and the other half is warm. It is very moist throughout the year, so growing crops such as peaches are very successful. Most of the water in the Piedmont region comes the Chattahoochee River which is above the fall line. Other sources of water come from man-made reservoirs such as Lake Lanier, Lake Oconee, and Lake Sinclair. The dams of these lakes provide hydroelectricity for the Piedmont too.
