Channeling my Inner Teacher
I was born and raised in Greenville, SC.
As you can see, it was a beautiful, family-friendly city full of good food and much to do and see! It's no wonder that I ended back up in this place after finishing college- it's home.
Growing up Greenvillian
I attended school in the Greenville County School District, attending Oakview Elementary, League Academy, and Greenville Senior High Academy. I loved the Upstate so much that I decided to stay close by for my college experience.
Dear Ole Clemson
Choosing Clemson was an easy decision. I knew it was a great school, had a good reputation, and many of my friends were attending alongside me! However, I found that I was not as at home as I had hoped. I loved my classes, but I was surrounded by the same faces and wanted to branch out more...so...I transferred.
Graduating a Gamecock
Switching schools was no easy task. I had to make new friends, learn new traditions, and figure out how to be much farther from home. It was exciting, but scary at the same time because I wanted to prove that I could be successful away from my home base.
Back to Clemson
Now I'm back at Clemson pursuing my Masters Degree. I wouldn't change my path for anything, it brought me friends, my husband, a new life experience, and helped me figure out what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
The Mountains Are Calling
The mountains are calling, so I must go.
And that's how I ended back up at home.
