About Robert Daugherty Knowledge Investment Partners
A former managing partner at Knowledge Investment Partners, Robert Daugherty served in this position for eight years. Drawing on his knowledge of academic entrepreneurship, executive management of post-secondary institutions, and market research in the education sector, Robert Daugherty advised businesses on leadership and how to build successful management teams. While at Knowledge Investment Partners, he served as chairman of Eduventures, Schiller International University and Sunburst Technology and Educational Resources. Prior to joining KIP, he served as the President and CEO of Cognitive Arts.
In 2010, he joined Jack Welch Management Institute as its president and CEO. The company provides domestic and international students the opportunity to earn management degrees and certificates online. Simultaneously, he was president of Chancellor University, which later merged with Alliant International University. Today, he serves as a Fulbright scholar specialist advises presidents and boards of colleges and universities in Africa and the Middle East to facilitate academic partnerships between institutions around the world.
Daugherty earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard University, a master’s degree in liberal studies from Columbia University, and his master’s degree in management from the University of Cambridge. In 2008, he gave the commencement speech at the American College of Switzerland and received an honorary doctorate of humane letters.
