New York City Business Owner Rob Shamlian

Rob Shamlian owns a number of beer hall and restaurant locations throughout New York City. His ownership career began in 2004 with Darkroom and then a year later opened Fat Baby, a music venue and bar and just two years later expanded to include the award-winning Spitzers Corner, a Michelin-recommended eatery. In 2009 he became the owner of a third location, the Los Feliz taqueria and tequileria. The restaurant’s chef has routinely received recognition as the top Mexican chef in the city. In 2011 Rob Shamlian continued to expand his business engagements by becoming the owner of Brooklyn’s Spritzenhaus beer hall.

When he is not overseeing operations at his various business endeavors Robert Shamlian enjoys spending time with his children. He has also played chess since he was a child and sometimes engages in a game of poker. Also staying physically active, Robert Shamlian plays tennis whenever he has the chance, and he previously played team sports such as baseball, basketball, and football.
