About Rocco Clauss
A New Yorker currently based in Medellin, Colombia, Rocco Clauss works as a fixed-income trading strategist at Global Securities Colombia. Rocco Clauss’ responsibilities include selecting trading positions of over a million dollars in developed and emerging market corporate debt. He finds and presents financial opportunities to clients, along with risk analyses, that meet their expressed needs. Clauss’ accomplishments include portfolio rebalancing that simultaneously reduced risk while increasing returns.
Rocco Clauss earlier worked for Chardan Capital Markets, Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, and Merrill Lynch. At Merrill Lynch, he gained skills in a wide variety of areas of trading and investment, including sales, options pricing, and analysis. He supported traders in managing billions of dollars in client funds and supervised interns in the global wealth management group.
Clauss studied business at Fordham University, becoming the youngest graduate of the Gabelli School of Business’ Class of 2013 at age 20. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing. He enjoys playing and listening to the guitar, and his favorite musicians and bands are Jimi Hendrix, Velvet Underground, and the Rolling Stones.
