Sponsorship opportunities for the Inaugural Rockstar Run 2013

LEAD SPONSORSHIPS

The Springsteen — $5000 (1 available)

Hey, leader of the pack! You're not afraid to admit you want to see your name up in lights. With this lead sponsorship, we'll name the race after you (imagine that: The Rockstar Run presented by YOUR NAME HERE) and deliver these things:

  • Prominent logo on race materials, including signage, T-shirts, promos, maps, media pitches, course materials and website (with links to your site).
  • Top placement on all sponsor acknowledgement materials.
  • Public acknowledgement during opening and closing announcements by the race director.
  • Opportunity to have representative deliver "elevator speech" at race opening and shooting the gun to start the race.
  • Key placement of your information booth (with prominent signage) in pre/post-race marketplace.
  • Samples or promotional materials in race goodie bags.

A LA CARTE SPONSORSHIPS

Stage Sponsorships — $1000 (2-3 available)

The Rockstar Run is going to be a 3.1-mile rock fest, featuring five local bands performing live along the rocking route. Your sponsorship backs one awesome Cleveland band. Signage over and leading up to your stage will display your name and/or logo. And we'll publicly thank you for the music in closing remarks. Additionally, pitches to local media and bloggers will plug you as one of our rocking music sponsors — and that counts as media impressions and cool factor!

Runner Awards Sponsorships — $1000 (3 available)

We'd like to make the Rockstar Run more than just 3.1 miles of rocking good time. Together, we can make it one of the more competitive, well-attended races in Northeast Ohio by offering great awards to top runners. Cash prizes will be awarded to top three overall male and female runners, as well as top finishers in age groups.

Each prize will be delivered in an envelope with your logo on it and with a certificate or trophy with your name on it to take home with them. The race director will thank you during the awards ceremony, and the runners will proudly display an award with your name on it for years to come.

Costume Contest Sponsorships — $1000 (2 available)

But what's a party without some rocking costumes? Dressing up will be a major to-do at this event. The Rockstar Run will be a celebration of Cleveland, our music history... and our city's creativity. We'll award prizes for best costume, best group/ensemble, biggest shoes and loudest hair.

Each prize will be delivered in an envelope with your logo on it and with a certificate or trophy with your name on it to take home with them. The race director will thank you during the awards ceremony, and the runners will proudly display an award with your name on it for years to come.

Bathroom Break Sponsorship — $2000 (1 available)

Water is the most essential part of race survival. You know what happens next! Runners will spend plenty of time waiting, staring, standing, dancing in place near portable toilets at the start/finish of the race. Don't you want to be the official sponsor of their bathroom break? Your name will be displayed prominently around the line of toilets — with optional messaging inside each stall. If you've been looking for a captive audience who will walk away thanking you, this is your dish.

Mile Sponsorships — $750 (3 available)

What makes runners happier than cheering fans, inspirational signs and aid stations? Mile markers. No better opportunity to plug your name! You'll have prominent signage at your mile-marker and running through it. We also offer the option to sticker your logo on inspirational poster boards (think: signs that say, "Pain is temporary, beer is at the finish line") that will be staked along the route. The race director will thank you in the closing remarks, and the runners will walk away with great memories of your brand.

Finish Line Sponsorship — $500* (1 available)

OK, the only thing that makes runners happier than mile markers: the finish line! The Finish Line sponsor gets their name/logo on signage at the finish line and the finishing area. You get last dibs on racers floating with runner's high and thanks in closing remarks.

Aid Station Sponsorships — $500 (2 available)

Dual opportunity to promote your brand and do a team-building exercise! Aid station sponsors help fund the water, Gatorade and cups for their aid station, as well as the smiling faces and helpful hands that pass it out. We'll name the aid station after you (i.e., The John's Donuts Mile-2 Aid Station); you can coordinate volunteers to wear logo T-shirts that drive your brand name home. Of course, we'll thank you in closing remarks too.

Post-Race Booth Sponsorships — $300 (5 available)

If your business or product brings value to our participant base (and vice versa), you can purchase booth space in our post-race marketplace. Set up shop at the after-party and offer up swag, samples, demonstrations or useful info to attendees. Post-race marketplace puts you face-to-face with consumers and provides a comfortable space to develop new relationships.


IN-KIND SPONSORSHIPS

Perks for in-kind sponsorships include your name/logo at the race, direct contact with attendees and getting your product or message into consumers' hands. Get in touch with Frank Lewis to talk about how you can pitch in on:

Goodie Bag Swag

  • Rock star supplies: Think colorful wigs, inflatable guitars, bandanas, cans of Aquanet, sparkly white gloves, studded bracelets, blingy necklaces, drumsticks, gold-teeth grills and fake tattoos. You can even mark donated swag with branded business cards.
  • Samples: Have samples of your non-perishable product that can be safely packaged and distributed via goodie bags? Donate your bulk and put your product directly in the hands of consumers.
  • Coupons or special offers: Give our runners a good deal and we'll include your coupons or special-offer postcards in their goodie bags.

Post-Race Party

  • Food: Runners (and sideline cheerleaders) are going to be hungry! Give attendees a taste of the neighborhood by pitching in on our post-race party. Hook them with samples, tasting stations or some of your marquee dishes. We'll include your promo cards or menus in the goodie bags so they'll know where to find you later.
  • Drinks: Yes, we mean both kinds of drinks. We're looking for bottled water donations, sodas, Capri Sun and beer. I mean... you don't come to Ohio City and not expect the opportunity for beer, right? Donors get promo cards in goodie bags or signage at distribution sites.
  • Printing: Lots of signage, promotional materials and T-shirts to be made. We appreciate either printer/production houses' in-kind donations of these services and/or monetary donations to make these things happen.
  • Rentals and supplies: We'll need to borrow plenty of tables, chairs, benches and coolers for the post-race party, as well as cups, plates and utensils for post-race eats.
  • Party decor: Whether you're a party planner, DIY crafter, supply store or party fanatic, we need your talent to deck this place out! We're looking for bunting, signage, art and games that make our post-race party look like a party. Pitch in and we'll include your biz cards on the tables and your name in our thank-you announcements.

Volunteers

Races don't happen without volunteers. We need smiling faces to help with registration, directions, mile-marker timing, medical needs, aid stations, pre/post-race activities and lots of loud cheering. You can volunteer as an individual, as a pair, small group, school organization or a large company.
