About Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark
Serving over 1 million people in New Jersey, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark consists of 219 parishes and over 100 schools. With a mission to spread the Gospel and provide comprehensive community outreach programs, the Archdiocese of Newark oversees a diverse, multicultural community of Christians.
Led by The Most Reverend John J. Myers, the Archdiocese also represents a variety of outreach programs that promote social justice and Christian causes. Members of the clergy and laypersons work together to promote charitable giving, provide assistance to immigrants, and minster to the disabled and elderly throughout northern New Jersey.
