iPads for Student Achievement, Part 1

When: Feb. 18
New to the iPad? Find out tips and tricks on navigating your way around the iPad. By the end of this session you should be tapping, pinching, and swiping with the best of them. You will also be introduced to productivity apps that will help make your teaching responsibilities a whole lot easier. Also during this iPad I session, classroom productivity apps will be introduced. These apps provide a digital means of organizing your students work, time, and behavior which in return will increase student achievement.
Bring your iPad if you have one but we will have some available.
Introduction to QR Codes to Increase Student Motivation (Part 1)
Where: David Youree Elementary
When: Feb. 24
Description of Session: If you are curious about what these are or how they can be used to peek student interest, come to this session. Participants will learn how to use QR Codes for quick access to online resources, to organize their content, and develop inquiry based learning activities in a fast and easy way. QR codes can be read from a computer with a web camera or any mobile devices.
Bring your device if you have one. A limited amount will be provided.
