For the chocolate sauce:

-250 ml or 1 cup of 15% or 35% cream
-170 g or 6 oz of dark chocolate with 70% cacao and coarsely chopped
-125 ml or ½ cup of brown sugar

For the French toast- 4 eggs lightly beaten

- 125 ml or ½ cup brown sugar
- 500 ml or 2 cups of milk
- 1 ml or ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 ml or ¼ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 4 to 6 slices, approximately 3 cm/1 ¼ in. thick firm white sandwich bread or brioche
- 60 ml or ¼ cup salted butter
- 4 to 6 sliced bananas

How To Do It:

For the chocolate sauce

-Heat all ingredients over low heat in a saucepan and stir frequently until chocolate melts. Set aside.For the French toast

-Whisk milk, eggs, brown sugar, vanilla and cinnamon together in a large bowl. Soak the bread in the mixture for about 3mins. perside.

-Melt half the butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat until it foams.

-Fry half the bread for 4-5mins. each side until golden. Do the same with the remaining bread and butter.

-Top the French toast with the banana slices and drizzle it with the warm chocolate sauce.
