The great actors
The 1930's were a very popular time and successful time for movies. Some popular movie stars of the era were Clark Gable, Shirley Temple, Will Rogers, Joan Crawford, and Janet Gaynor. Actors back then had to rely on talent rather than special effects like they do today.
These films include 'All is Quiet on the Western Front'. "Gone With the Wind', "Frankenstein", "Dracula", "King Kong", "Little Miss Broadway", "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", and the most famous " The Wizard of OZ".
This time period represents the great changes in the film industry. They started putting sounds into movies during late 20's and perfected it in the 30's.
They started putting sound systems in more theaters and soon after all movie theaters switched and put sound systems in.
Because of the Great Depression tons of movie theaters had to close their doors. Also some people couldn't afford the prices during that time.
