Running Fast, Having Fun.

Maddie Phillips

Here at Running Fast, Having Fun we specialize in selling running shoes and racing spikes. Both of these shoes will be made specifically for women.

Business Plan: Restrictions

I will not be able to get more than 100 running shoes per month. And no more than 80 racing spikes per month. For the first few months I will not be able to spend more than $1200 per month

Restrictions: Systems of inequalities

x = # of Running Shoes per month; y = # of Racing Spikes per month

X > 0, X < 80

Y > 0, Y < 100

55x + 35y < 1,200

Business Plan: Cost and Selling prices.

The running shoes will cost $55 to produce each pair. The racing spikes will cost $35 to produce each pair.

I can sell each pair of running shoes for $130. I can sell the racing spikes for $90 per pair.

Business Plan: Profits

x = # of Running Shoes per month; y = # of Racing Spikes per month

Cost = 55x + 35y

Sell = 130x + 90y

Profit = sell - cost

Profit= (130x + 90y) - (55x +35y) OR

Profit = 75x + 55y

Maximize Profits

(0,34) p= 75(0) + 55(34)= $1870

(22,0) p= 75(22) + 55(0)= $1650

(10,19) p= 75(10) + 55(19)= $1795

(18,6) p= 75(18) + 55(6)= $1680

I will maximize my profits if I sell 34 racing spikes and 0 running shoes.
