About Rutherford Johnson

In November 2007, Archbishop Rutherford Johnson was ordained as an Anglican priest serving the Episcopal Archdiocese of the Midwest. Archbishop Johnson was the Vicar-General of the Archdiocese and is now Metropolitan of the Anglo-Catholic Archdiocese of the Southwest.

<br/>Archbishop Rutherford Johnson also holds a position as an Assistant Professor of Economics at the SolBridge International School of Business located in Daejeon, South Korea. SolBridge, also called Woosong University, is working closely with Johnson to develop a new program for the school. Rutherford is currently in the process of increasing the student body and has aided in revamping and expanding the IT system. In addition to teaching economics and helping develop and market the university, Archbishop Rutherford Johnson provides religious and mentorship services on campus as well. Johnson accepted his position as Assistant Professor in March 2003.

<br/>Archbishop Rutherford Johnson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2000. He went on to pursue his Master's at Georgia Tech, where he studied Economics, earning his degree in 2003. On top of his busy schedule, Rutherford maintains an active and healthy lifestyle by climbing, fencing, running, ballroom dancing, performing martial arts, and playing squash and tennis. He also enjoys playing the piano and organ, hiking, and camping.

<br/>Archbishop Rutherford Johnson is an active member of the Explorer’s Club, the Society of Colonial Wars, Order of the Arrow, the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, the National Eagle Scout Association, the International Society for Philosophical Enquiry (Senior Research Fellow), and the St. Andrews Society of Maine.
