The Journey of An I-Phone

Globalization is a process of interaction among people, companies and different governments concerning money, business, culture, or technology.
The four categories of globalization are culture, technology, economy, and environment.
Culture is the way the country in question does certain things, like how we have Halloween and Mexico has the Day of the Dead. Technology could be weapons, electronics, or even medicine. This could be affected by globalization because of the relationship between countries. The countries would share scientific discoveries or medicinal discoveries to help further the nations. The economy is the system of production, distribution, and consumption. The environment is, as you may know, the world around us. This could be affected by globalization because of the gas fumes from car travel and smog from boats traveling from country to country.
The category technology is the type of globalization occurring mainly with the production of I-Phones in China.
The conclusions that I drew from reading the above maps is that China has their majority of people, resources and industrial zones in the south east part of the country. This is where most of the transportation happens.
The resources used in the creation of I-Phones are various metals, plastic, glass, and electronic wires. These resources are found in China, and are manufactured into I-Phones. When these phones are made, they are transported to America through one of the many shipping routes leaving China's shores.
According to the maps, the people migrate more toward the industrial zones and the more abundant resource sites. I believe that this is because of the availability to obtain goods and find jobs within the city like working in a factory manufacturing the goods that they survive off of.
The Chinese culture has been slightly affected by the transfer and manufacturing of goods between China and the US. This is so because the I-Phone brings new technology, and with it the US way of communicating and entertaining ourselves. This is not an issue because China has received new ways of looking at the world. The technology in China is being affected also by the production of the I-Phone due to the demand of the phones in China. This would not cause an issue in China because it allows the country to become more technologically advanced. The Chinese economy is welcoming globalization because of the growth that they've achieved due to the manufacturing of goods that they then sell in other countries for a profit. This would not be an issue because we would still get the goods that we want/need and China will be stable economically. The environment in China has been affected greatly by the factory smoke and the gas fumes that come from cars and other forms of transportation. This is a problem because the air could be polluted and that could cause factories to close and people to migrate to a place with a clean environment. This could be solved by companies finding different countries to manufacture their goods.
Globalization applies to me by the goods that I get from different countries and the culture that I see from different people. Most of the clothing that I get from stores are made in different countries like Taiwan or India. This is a good form of globalization because I get the goods that I wanted and a person in another country receives a paycheck for creating the shirt. The culture that is shared with me through globalization is when I watch videos of or talk to people from different countries. This is shared by showing their views on certain subjects and how or what they celebrate in their country. This could negatively affect me by taking my views away from my own culture and influencing my views on different topics.
In conclusion, globalization as a whole is a positive influence on the world, connecting countries and people by uniting common interests and sharing cultures and goods, like the I-Phone or other products.
