Information About Augusta Feldhorn
Augusta Feldhorn was born in Vienna,Austria on Mat 29,1934. Her parents were named Margarete and Julius Feldhorn. Her father Julius Feldhorn was an accountant and had his own men's hat factory and most of the machines was invented by him. Augusta Feldhorn's family began to travel frequently after the Germans started invaded cities looking for Jews to captured or kill. They started moving to escape these raids and hoping to have a new life style .Augusta Feldhorn was eight years old escaping these raids and was soon hidden in an convent with other Jewish children. Augusta Feldhorn and her mother,Margarete Feldhorn remained in the convent until liberation.After she was released from this convent ,she discovered her father was captured and murdered at the Birkenau Concentration Camp. Augusta Feldhorn, on the other hand, was freed when she was eleven years old .Although one and a half million were killed in the Holocaust, Augusta Feldhorn was one of the few who survived .
What People Learned After the Holocaust
The Holocaust was lead by a dictator named Adolf Hilter. Adolf Hilter lead the Germans to kill and capture all Jewish people. Many people was murdered or killed in a gas chamber at a concentration camp. Jewish people were mistreated and because of their race, religion ,or beliefs .This was an example of discrimination .Although millions of Jewish people were killed during the Holocaust , some people survived.
The Holocaust was an huge affect in the world today .It taught America to not discriminate each other because of your religion or race. Everyone should be treated equally , even though people are different . We should not want to kill or harm one another because of our differences. People shouldn't think their better than anyone because of where they came from. People should always respect everyone lives and accept it .
