My name is Bryan Soerjanto I am a 6th grade student in Holman Middle School in Henrico County. I am 12 years old and I do not like projects like this. I was born in January 18, 2003 in Los Angles, California.
The purpose of this website is to inform you about the Father of Our Country, George Washington. Another reason is because I have been assigned to do this by my English teacher for a project. We've been learning how to find a reliable website and that will help me kinda make this website look reliable so that others can take a look at this and find it trustworthy. This is the purpose of this website.
John Washington, George Washington's great-grandfather, came to Virginia. George Washington was born in to a farmer family in 1732 in Westmoreland County in Virginia. Washington has four brothers and three sisters. Washington learned Morals, manners, and body of knowledge. In 1752, his brother Lawrence died of tuberculosis. Tuberculosis is an infection having to do with your lungs. This makes George the owner of his brother's land. In 1754, Washington fought his first battle that is known as the French and Indian War.
George Washington served in the French and Indian War. As a result, he survived an injury of four bullets ripping is coat off and two dead horses under him. Ever since his brother Lawrence died, Washington became the king of his lands. Unfortunately, Lawrence's only child died only two months after he did. Ever since George became the first president of the United states, years later after he died, most of the United States presidents were amazed for their amazing accomplishments, and Washington’s achievements made him famous of being the Father of His Country. Because of a throat infection in his body, he died in 1799 in Mount Vernon.
Importance of our Father of our Country
John Washington, George Washington’s great-grandfather, traveled to Virginia from England before George Washington was born. Augustine Washington, John W.’s grandson, was a successful property-owner. In addition, in 1789, he became president. For instance, he served as president for eight years. An important fact about him is that George was the general in chief in the Continental Army in the American Revolution. He also served the French and Indian War. He was a chairman in the convention that wrote the Constitution in 1787. He also became the Father of our Country. Unfortunately, in 1799, George Washington died of a throat infection in his home in Mount Vernon.
