Students Learns About

...Quality Comments!

Writing quality comments on blogs requires students to think about what makes their words helpful and keeps the conversation moving. Teachers have been working with students to model the use of comments in response to a variety of blog posts.

Students even learned about writing quality comments from other students taught by Linda Yollis in California.

What is our idea of a quality comment?

Students practiced writing comments as a large group and then individually. Below are the comment stems used to guide our writing:

Comment Feedback from Others

Students engaged in sharing their writing asking for feedback in the revision process. Students worked very hard to make sure they were posting writing that they would be proud of.

Going Live

Students have been working to publish their comments this week. Now we are ready for you help as a Digital Volunteer!
