Understanding Global Warming

The article speaks greatly about the idea of global warming. It states key points about how weather has changed between the hots and the colds, but brings up the facts about the speed in which these temperate changes occur. It talks about the green house effects and how seriously dangerous these particles can have on the entire atmosphere. it states how scientists generally agree that the Earth's surface has warmed by about one degree Fahrenheit in the past 140 years. It gives great points about why greenhouse effects really have a huge impact on the world and global warming. It gives very helpful and insightful tips to help reduce the pollution humans crafted.

I agree strongly with this article because of all the facts it produced. It gave very nice key points that helped me to fully understand all the complications. It gave many great benefits that could really help shape society as a whole to further better the atmosphere and ecosystems surrounding us. Some of the key points were:

  • Walk to school instead of getting the 'rents to drive you.
  • Don't use too much electricity. Use energy compact fluorescent light bulbs, turn off the lights when you leave a room, and don't leave the TV on when you're not using it.
  • Tell your parents what you know about global warming. It's important that they know as much as you do so they can vote for politicians who care about the environment.
  • Recycle.
  • Plant trees. Trees help to combat pollution by absorbing carbon dioxide from the air.
  • Some great disadvantages could occur as well in some of these categorizes. You can't always walk to school because of weather. Parents can be stubborn when voting. Some people may not be able to find the help in order to plant trees. All the views give people a real good look on how easy it can be to help stop destroying the earth each and everyday.

The article spoke very greatly about the fantastic advantages towards the energy source of hydropower. It gave good facts about the energy water can provide, while also giving effective ways to make water crazy useful in an energy concern. It talked about how hydroelectric power doesn't necessarily require a large dam. Some hydroelectric power plants just use a small canal to channel the river water through a turbine. It also talked about Another type of hydroelectric power plant, a pumped storage plant, can even store power. A small or micro-hydroelectric power system can produce enough electricity for a home, farm, or ranch. It talked in great depth on how the stored power is a lot safer for the environment since it only requires minimal things.

I agree with the ideas of using water to create more sufficient power to help fill our huge world. It gave great points with some nifty examples that really gave me a whole better understanding towards the idea of hydropower. It gave great insights on the specific ways that water energy can be obtained and gave a great generalization on the environment itself. Some major disadvantages would be that the water used wouldn't be able to be used in other ways especially with drinking. Many people in the world are without water, so it would seem selfish to not drink the water.

    Shoveling Experience

My experience involved me spending some of my snow day time helping my older neighbors with their snow shoveling duties. I usually do this every year free of charge. I love doing this random act of kindness because it really lets me appreciate the happiness it brings to people. I love making each and everyone of my neighbors not go through the pain of having to shovel themselves. It's especially great since most of my neighbors are in fact mildly elder, so the act of shoveling is extremely difficult. I always give it my best since i know they expect a lot out of me because according to Mrs. Knisner I am a "strong handsome boy." It will always feel good to kill a few hours knowing that this will better the community and even better a person's day.
