Sam El Barouki

Branch Manager at Bank Of America

About Sam El Barouki

Sam El Barouki has had a very successful career in the finance industry. At the age of 25, he became the youngest-ever Branch Manager of a Countrywide Home Loan branch. As Branch manager, he supervised some 35 employees and helped ensure that his branch was one of the best loan producers for the business, consistently placing in the top 20%. Fresh on the heels of this success, Sam El Barouki left Countrywide after five productive years to join Polaris Energy, an investment firm specializing in renewable energy projects and the long-term returns they bring. As one of three Directors, he worked under the management of two Managing Directors, but still exercised a great amount of power over his decisions.

Recently, Sam El Barouki left Polaris Energy to return to school, where he is currently studying to earn a doctor of business administration and building on the strong educational background that has fueled his past successes. He expects to graduate in 2013 and return to the workforce. Before working at Countrywide, Mr. Barouki attended California State University at Long Beach, where he was awarded a degree in Speech Communications before entering graduate school there to pursue a master of arts in Sports Marketing. He joined Countrywide while still a graduate student.

When he is not working or studying, Mr. Barouki is an avid sports fan and particularly enjoys following baseball, football, and basketball. He is loyal to Philadelphia teams, counting himself a die-hard Sixers, Eagles, and Phillies fan. He also supports several charitable organizations including AID Group and UKSIF, a network of environmentally conscious investment firms that he was involved with while at Polaris.
