About Sandra McBeth-Wellington

An accomplished mortgage banking professional in Los Angeles, Sandra McBeth-Wellington has achieved a number of prestigious honors over the course of her career. Recognized for her contributions to housing developments throughout Los Angeles County, she was honored with the Award of Dedication from Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan and a Certificate of Special Recognition from United States Congresswoman Maxine Waters. Sandra McBeth-Wellington has also achieved several industry accolades, including an appointment to serve as chair of the Cultural Diversity Committee with the Mortgage Bankers Association of America.

Sandra McBeth-Wellington holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Indiana, master’s degrees in public administration and urban planning and development from Pepperdine University, and a juris doctor from the University of West Los Angeles College of Law. Early in her career, Sandra McBeth-Wellington founded the mortgage lending company United International Mortgage Bankers, Inc. (UIMB). Under her management, UIMB obtained approval to lend through such federal institutions as the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Ginnie Mae (GNMA), and the Veterans Administration (now the Department of Veterans Affairs). The company served all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
