Beyond his activities at K&S, which also included 26 years as the company’s board chairman, Scott Kulicke provided expertise and leadership to a number of other organizations. He served for seven years on the board of directors of Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI), a trade association, and for two years on the board of directors of SEMATECH, an industry consortium established to examine and promote the competitiveness of U.S. semiconductor companies. Scott Kulicke was also a committee member, and later chairman, of the Technical Advisory Committee for Semiconductors with the United States Department of Commerce.
