The people of Barbados eat a lot of what we would eat if we were at a sea food restaurant. They eat a lot of crab, fish, shrimp, and fruits that grow there. They also drink a lot of rum and cocktails.
People in Barbados dress for the warm weather they have there all year round. They wear short sleeved shirts and short pants. Some of the people wear ponchos.
People in Barbados listen to folk, western classic and religious music.
The people in Barbados have a festival called the "Crop Festival". There are dancers who dance on the streets and wear jewels and feathers. The Festival is in celebration of the harvest of the sugar cane.
The offical language in Barbados is English.
The housing in Barbados isn't like ours. They live in apartments and small cottages. Most of the people there are poor, so the housing is very old looking and beaten.
One Us dollar is equal to two Barbadian dollars.
