Who Put the "Right" in Playwright?
You Bet it Was William Shakespeare
While his material can be a bit confusing, William Shakespeare is widely regarded as one of the most brilliant minds in literary history.
Born in April, 1564 in the small town of Stratford-Upon-Avon, Shakespeare was hardly born into glory. Working his way up to the top, he eventually owned his own theater and was one of the most popular authors in London.
With a face like that, who wouldn't like him? In his lifetime, Shakespeare wrote at least 37 plays and over 150 poems, all of which can be accessed free of charge.
In fact, his plays are still widely produced and appreciated by audiences worldwide. Of course, most try to give the productions a modern twist.
In short, Shakespeare contribution to the arts hasn't ceased to reach and affect people still to this day.
