There are many types of animals in the tundra one of them is the Tundra Swan. The Tundra Swan lives in marshes and swamps in the Tundra, they eat aquatic plants, they usually eat in shallow water. There is one more that I am going to tell you about, it is the Arctic Fox. The Arctic Fox eats birds and rodents, it lives in the arctic woodland. They usually burrow on the sides of hills or cliffs. They also follow polar bears and feed on the remains of what the polar bear eats.

There are very few types of plants in the Tundra so I will just name a few. One of them is the Bearberry, this fruit can be cooked with other things so you can experiment with that. The roots can be made into tea that helps a cough or slow down menstrual bleeding. The leaves can also be used for kidney or bladder problems. Another one is Caribou Moss or lichen it can be made into tea used as a medicine for diarrhea. It can also be made into a powder to thicken soup or desserts.

    • The weather in the tundra is extremely cold, often well below freezing, and what someone would expect to experience over the course of an average winter. Because of the low temperatures and high winds it is very important to protect your head and face.
Combine warm wool or cotton caps, which fit tightly against your skull, with a hood attached to your parka and protective ski goggles. The goggles will protect your eyes and part of your face while the cap will help to keep your body heat in and can be pulled down low to help protect your ears from the wind. A lined hood or a hood with down filling will help to keep your head warm and protected from the wind.

    Body Wear

    • When in the tundra it is important to wear waterproof clothing to protect your body from the ice and snow. Layer waterproof clothing with lined or insulated clothing, such as ski pants or a down parka, to keep your body protected from the elements.

    • Waterproof boots are a must in the cold temperatures of the tundra. Most of the walking you would do in the tundra, no matter what time of year, is through water, snow or ice, so it is imperative that your shoes be waterproof. Though it's not necessary, it is suggested that your boots also be lined. Boots are available for use in the tundra that are lined in down as well as made of Gore-tex fabrics to keep you warm without hampering your movement.

Come on down to the tundra there are many fun activities to do like hiking, skiing, backpacking and later on at night we can watch the polar lights. The next day we could go whale watching, bird watching. Later after lunch we could go river floating and penguin watching. After that we could go to some famous landmarks like Mount. McKinley, the Million Dollar Bridge, and the Aniakchak Crater.
