Gabrielle Douglas

Gabrielle Christina Victoria Douglas was born December 31, 1995 to the parents of Timothy Douglas and Natalie Hawkins in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She has siblings that are by the names of, Arielle Douglas, Johnathan Douglas, and Joyelle Douglas. Some people call her Flying Squirrel because she is really good at gymnastics and flies in the air.. Gabrielle Christina Victoria "Gabby" Douglas is an American artistic gymnast. As a member of the U.S. Women's Gymnastics team at the 2012 Summer Olympics, she won gold medals in both the individual all-around and team competitions. In October 2002, Douglas began her training at Gymstrada Gymnastics in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In July 2004, she left Gymstrada and began training at Excalibur Gymnastics. At the age of eight, Douglas won the Level 4 all-around gymnastics title at the 2004 Virginia State Championships. Also now she is still currently on the national now. Douglas is a Christian. Douglas has spoken about her faith saying, "I believe in God. He is the secret of my success. He gives people talent”Douglas' mother says her name means 'God's abled-bodied one'.
