About Shawn Bishop
Shawn Bishop, most recently the superintendent of the Bangor
Township Schools, is an educational leadership professional with years
of experience in both teaching and administration. As superintendent,
Shawn Bishop achieved success in raising student test scores,
maintaining the district budget, and streamlining school district
Mr. Bishop earned his doctoral degree in education administration and leadership from Central Michigan University, where he published his dissertation, “An Examination of the Disciplinary Interventions Used by Public Elementary School Teachers.” He was the first person to earn his master’s in educational technology from Central Michigan University.
An active member of the educational professional community, Shawn Bishop is a member of the Michigan Association of School Administrators, the Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association, and the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development. He is also committed to the Bay County United Way and has served as a board member of the organization for three years.
