About Sherb Sentell III

Sherb Sentell III is a partner in his family law firm in Minden, Louisiana and a Minden-Ward 1 City Judge. The Sentell Law Firm LLC is a law firm handling many diverse legal areas of the law. The firm offers litigation defense for building contractors in lawsuits as well as litigation experience in wrongful death, personal injury, and oil-and-gas law matters. Notable cases won by Sherb Sentell III and his father include a multimillion-dollar oil-and-gas case in Jackson Parish. Beyond his work in private practice, Sherb Sentell serves as Assistant District Attorney in Louisiana’s 26th Judicial District in Webster and Bossier Parishes. In this capacity, he is directly responsible for deciding which felony cases are appropriate to prosecute. As a prosecutor, Sherb Sentell III has not lost a jury trial in over a decade. Prior to establishing himself as a lawyer, Sherb Sentell III had a successful career in the United States Army in both active duty and Reserve service, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He is a veteran of Operation Desert Shield, Operation Desert Storm, and Operation Iraqi Freedom, and has been deployed twice to Iraq. Notable honors Sherb Sentell has received include two Bronze Stars and four Meritorious Service Medals. In addition, he is the recipient of the General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award, presented to only six Army Reserve officers each year. Currently, Sherb Sentell is a Colonel in the United States Army Reserve currently serving as a Joint Logistics Officer with the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) located at MacDill AFB in Tampa, Florida. Sherb Sentell earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Davidson College and completed his Juris Doctor at Louisiana State University Law School. After graduation, the LSU Law Center inducted him into its Hall of Fame. Highly active with a number of organizations, he serves on the Board of Directors for the LSU Alumni Association, the Minden Lions Club, Minden Medical Center, and Citizens National Bank. Sherb is also a volunteer for the annual Minden St. Jude’s Auction, and has served as a volunteer firefighter and rescue diver for Webster Parish. In his personal life, he enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, and scuba diving.
