A successful hotel and gaming executive with many years of experience in the entertainment sector, Sid Vaikunta most recently served as a general manager of strategy and marketing with the Echo Entertainment Group in Sydney, Australia. Formed in 2011 in response to the demerger of the Tabcorp casinos division, the Echo Entertainment Group operates four of the most prominent casino properties in Australia. As an organizational leader with the company, Sid Vaikunta oversaw strategy and marketing efforts for properties such as Jupiters at the Gold Coast, Treasury in Brisbane, and The Star in Sydney.
During his time with the Echo Entertainment Group, Sid Vaikunta set out to design an innovative five-year strategy for the casinos division of the company. In addition to introducing a marketing and brand platform plan during the $860 million redevelopment of Star City, he improved EBITDA margins and maximized ROI by reengineering marketing plans and gaming product strategies. Mr. Vaikunta guided the company’s marketing activities throughout construction disruption and steadily improved gaming revenues in a timely manner.
Before becoming the GM of marketing and strategy with Echo, Sid Vaikunta served as a managing director of Star City, where he led a team of 4,000 employees during a large-scale re-launch and development project. He adjusted the business case to produce quality ROI on capital investments valued at $850 million and ensured continued profitability throughout the life of the construction project. Thanks to the efforts of Mr. Vaikunta and fellow members of the Echo leadership team, Star City rebranded as a world-class entertainment destination.

In 2015, Momofuku Seiobo received several industry awards, including Three Chef’s Hats and Best Restaurant Bar from SMH Good Food Guide. Gourmet Traveller Australian Restaurant Guide awarded the restaurant Three Stars and Three Glasses.
