Vanity Fair: Brainstorming

Woman's rights

Woman's RIghts is represented in Vanity Fair by the fact that the girls are in a Mrs. Pinkertons school for girls. There they learn to prepare their lives for living with their husbands.

The Victorian Era it was expected that you be very proper and put together. Though the show was that you were put together behind the walls of their houses their true colors were shown brightly.

Arranged Marriages

Arranged marriages were often a recurrence during this time. Many of the girls in Mrs. Pinkertons school for girls were in that school for preparation for their marriage they were going to be put into.
